Project Location: Princeton’s existing Veteran’s Memorial Park, located in downtown Princeton at the southwest corner of North 4th Street and North Main Street.
Project Description:
The City is currently designing upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park. The proposed improvements include enhanced landscape, hardscape and new public art in the form of memorial walls and gateway walls that reuse the historic stone that is in the current walls. Additionally, new public plaza spaces will be added on the east and west ends of the park that will include picnic tables and benches. A new trail loop will be installed, and new trees would be planted to shade the proposed amenities. The project includes the extension of Woody Street from North 4th Street to North 2nd Street and the abandonment of North 3rd Street from Woody to North Main Street.
